[100 Books #7] - Shiver (2009)

“I’d found heaven and grabbed it as tightly as I could, but it was unraveling, an insubstantial thread sliding between my fingers, too fine to hold.”“Grace,” I said, very softly. “Say something.”Sam,” she said, and I crushed her to me.”

Shiver is a beautifully written, heartbreaking story of what love truly is. It’s sad to the point that you ache for the characters’, and all that they are experiencing. There are flashback parts where you actually feel as though you are in the room with them. I had tears streaming down my face as Stiefvater reveals the horror behind Sam’s childhood.
I honestly don’t have the words to fully explain HOW brilliant this book is. It’s a book that needs to be put on a throne and given it’s own crown. It’s that brilliant.

One thousand ways to say good-bye One thousand ways to cry One thousand ways to hang your hat before you go outside I say good-bye good-bye good-bye I shout it out so loud Cause the next time that I find my voice I might not remember how
